Marin schools benefit hits record $1M distribution
Marin corporate and nonprofit donors ponied up a record $1 million this year for the eighth annual SchoolsRule-Marin distribution event held Thursday. The money, which was handed out in the form of checks to each public school foundation in the county, was allotted in equal per-student amounts based on the number of children in each district or school.

Marin schools campaign distributes more than $750K
SchoolsRule Marin, an alliance of schools foundations in the county, distributed $753,483 Wednesday from this year’s fundraising campaign. The money will be “distributed equally among the 36,238 public school students in Marin County to support programs for the arts, literacy, technology and/or health,” said Mary Jane Burke, the county superintendent of schools.
